We are planning the following activities, during the reunion, please indicate those activities you wish to participate in.  We realize some of you may not indicate it now and wish to join us after arriving and that is OK, we need the best information for planning.

  Riverwalk Tour  -  Tentatively Scheduled for Friday, October 10th, + a Riverboat ride

  Texas BBQ   - Friday 10am-2pm - Oct. 10  -  Transportation to and from a Texas Ranch + food and games

  Golf Outing  - Saturday Morning Oct. 11, to be set up by Roy Watson.  

  Closing Banquet: -  Saturday Evening Oct. 11 at the Holiday Inn

Reunion Cost and Fees

The registration fees for this reunion will be as follows:
 
Former Unit Members:                                $35
Other adult attendees, over 18 years old:      $25
Children, 12 to 18 years old:                        $15
Children under 12 years old:                        Free

The Saturday evening banquet will be the major event of the reunion.  We are going to have a three meat buffet and the cost will be $45 a person.  The event will include a program and a silent auction with lots of great items to bid on.  Last years silent auction items are on the photo section and were a big hit, we will have lots more items this year. many reflecting items from or about the unit and Vietnam.
 
By making your registration fee payment now, this will help us make the necessary deposits to secure a number of planned reunion activities, such as the Texas Style BBQ.  If you make your registration fee payment in advance of your arrival at the 2008 reunion you will save the additional $5, per person, fee that will be charged to everyone making their registration fee payment at the start of the reunion in San Antonio.
 
In addition, I'd like to also encourage each of you, if you have not already done so, to make your hotel reservations at the Holiday Inn-Riverwalk.
 
Right now the Holiday Inn-Riverwalk has blocked 100 rooms for our former 68th AHC unit members, their families and friends but we must begin returning some of these rooms back to the Holiday Inn-Riverwalk beginning within the next week or so if we do not expect to use these rooms so that we do not become financially responsible for these rooms. 
 
To date at least 40 of the 100 rooms have already been reserved by former unit members who have indicated that they plan to attend the 2008 reunion from October 8th thru October 12th, 2008. 
 
Please also remember that you can register at the Holiday Inn-Riverwalk, under the specially negotiated room rate of USD $115 per night, and your credit card will not be charged if you have to cancel your reservations for some unexpected reason at least three business days prior to your anticipated arrival date.
 
We all realize that with gasoline prices where they are right now and with airfares continuing to rise this may be putting a substantial strain on everyone's personal finances.  My wife, Pat, and I have already booked our non-stop airfare from Philadelphia to San Antonio, on Southwest Airlines, at a great rate because we booked these flights almost six months in advance.
