Duties in unit:  Gun platoon leader, Mustang 6, July - Sept 1968.  Operations Officer, Top Tiger 3, Sept - Nov 1968.  Executive Officer, Top Tiger 5, Nov - June 1969.  Sometime AC of Smokey, Checkmate Charlie Charlie.

Other Assignments:   Corps of Engineers, 31st Combat Eng. Btn., Ft Bliss TX;  After VN: CO, WOC Company A, Hunter AAF under LTC Bill Sims; Protocol Officer, Hunter AAF; Aide de Camp to Maj. General George S. Beatty JR, Brazil, US Mil Grp.

Training:  OCS, Flight school at Ft Wolters and Hunter AAF 1967-68.

Current Residence:   Frostproof, FL, Paris and Grasse, France.

Occupation:   MBA, Univ. of Chicago.  President and CEO of Givaudan Fragrances.  Retired in 2000.

Family:  I married my second wife Agnes in 2000, and we have three young children, Jim, George, and Helene.

Hobbies:  Oil portrait painting, golf, collecting aircraft memorabilia and models (over 3,500 items) and published author on the subject.  Automobile collecting: 1966 Jaguar XKE FHC,  a VN era M151A2 Jeep and a  M274 Mule ( both in 68th AHC markings).  Boating:  1942 Chris Craft 19ft runabout.  Flying: I bought a 1993 Lake Amphibian 270 Turbo Renegade which I flew for 7 years all over the USA after I retired.

Remarks:  I remember my days with the 68th with fondness and pride.  I am amazed so many of us lived through it and will always honor those that didn’t.
