Remarks:  First roommate 1LT Tony Boyle was a great influence on giving me the straight skinny as well as giving me hell. Dave Holloway was my mentor, and I thought he was the best I ever flew with. Took a direct commission in Armor and spent time at Rucker as a SIP, then Armor Basic, and back to RVN. Did 4 months in Vung Tau with the OH6 NETT Team, then 8 months at Marble Mountain outside of Da Nang trying to straighten out bad practices and poor skill in I Corp. Came back to Fort Benning to wait out my last year and separated in 1972. Went back to finish college and an advanced degree and joined the workforce in 1976. Spent 8 years in a National Guard tank battalion in San Diego, completed Armor Advanced and C&GS, and then just drifted out of the military. Still working until my college freshman daughter finishes college.
