Duties in unit:    Slick Pilot, Gun Ship Pilot,  Assistant to the XO

Other Assignments:  Ft. Chaffee Basic, Served as Enlisted Code Clerk for five years. OCS, Jump School, Ft. Benning. Flight School Ft. Rucker. Top Tiger's RVN. Europe, Pirmasens. CH-47 Qualification Course, Ft. Rucker, then back to Vietnam, assigned to HHC, 17th AVN GRP at Tuy Hoa, RVN Assistant S-3, and then HHC Company Commander. University of Tampa, Earned BA in History. Back to Europe, Schwabisch Hall, then served with Berlin Brigade as HHC Company Commander, earned MA in International Relations, Boston University (night school while in Berlin) then back to Ft. Rucker, Training Development Division, then Retirement.

Training:    Jump School, Ft. Benning, GA; Flight School Ft. Rucker

DOS Army:  Oct. 1978  -  Maj.  USA Ret.

Current Residence:   Wilmington, NC

Occupation:   Retired History Teacher (at community college level).

Family:
   My wife, Astrid, and I have two grown children, our son Kenneth is a Naval officer, and our daughter Patricia is a school teacher residing here in Wilmington.


Hobbies:   Reading, writing, and visiting historic sites.
