2020 Reunion Information

     I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and hope you have a fabulous new year.
     Since the reunion in Nashville, I have been researching hotels and transportation for Branson.
     Branson's closest airport is located in Springfield, Mo., 45 miles north of Branson.
     There is no shuttle service from the airport to Branson and no shuttle service provided by the hotels.
     According to Springfield Airport, taxi service cost one way starts at $70.
     I asked Dave Holloway what is the average number of members fly to the reunions. It has averaged 1/3 of
     members who attend the last 4 reunions have flown to the reunion. This indicates that members who fly will
     have to pay from $150 to approx. $300 for taxi or car rental to attend the reunion besides airfare.

     When the members voted in the business meeting in Nashville, the vote was Branson - 19, Pensacola - 15.
     Based on this information of the additional costs, the Association Officers and Executive Board agreed
     to change the location from Branson to Pensacola, FL.

     I have been to the visitor centers for both Pensacola and Pensacola Beach gathering hotel information.
     The Pensacola Center has an employee that works with veteran organizations planning to have reunions in the area.
     I have submitted a request for assistance for our reunion.
